code entry
After switching on, the set will display 'CODE' which will be flashing. Enter the code using preset keys 1 - 6. For digits higher than 6, use the function keys. After entry of the last digit, press the BAND key. The display will show 'PASS' and the set will operate.
Changing the Code
Press the BAND key while switching the set on. 'CODE' will flash in the display. Enter the code as above. 'PASS' will then display. While PASS is showing, press both ends of the tuning buttons. The message 'CODE' will display. You may now enter a code number of your choice. Changing the code to 0000 will deactivate the security function.
