After switching on, press preset 1 and use the tuning buttons < > to increment the code digits to the value required. Press preset 1 again and follow the same procedure until all four digits have been entered. If the set displays ==== it is locked in which case leaving it switched on will permit entry of the code after the time out period has elapsed. This period could range from one to 32 minutes depending upon how many times an incorrect code has been entered.
